Overview
The Cataclysm Swap, which resulted from the Cataclysm, caused half of all living things and inanimate objects throughout the Universe to instantly and randomly change locations. Imagine waking up to that.
While some species caught up in the Swap managed to survive, the aftermath was chaos. Earth descended into an age of anarchy known as the Strife that they continue to memorialize to this day. Ironically, the chaos of the Cataclysm eventually led to the advent of EXO Dynamics, which is in the business of saving Planet Earth. So...happy ending, right?
