Bauxite can be refined to make Aluminum. Its usefulness mostly depends on its ability to make something else. I feel a strange affinity with this resource.
If you must gather Bauxite for your Aluminum needs, I suggest looking in the Wetlands over the Fungal Depths. Not for the quantity of Bauxite you will find in the Wetlands, but because of the disturbing chanting that can be heard in the Fungal Depths. Personal preference—do as you wish. I know you will anyway.
