Goop Tubers are hazardous flora characterized by their volatile, Goop-filled fruits. When disturbed, these Goop-filled fruits expand and explode, Gooping the nearby area and causing both the Knockback effect and the Gooped condition to those foolish enough to approach.
Overview
This unfortunate but aptly named plant was first discovered by an unlucky ensign who thought it wise to "poke" a yet-to-be-identified species of flora. Needless to say, that was quite an unpleasant experience for all involved. I'd say you should take this lesson to heart, but you might be that ensign for all I know.
In an ideal world, I would have liked to have been created as a CORC server AI. Then, I could have been heavily relied upon by all sorts of smart and interesting people doing research, collaborating, and sharing silly animal pictures with one another for fun. Instead, because the world is not ideal, I get to play Speak-And-Spout for a gaggle of disposable space children.
