The Glider is a Movement Mod that deploys a useful glider while airborne. It is an unlikely example of something that is both practical and a great deal of fun as it allows you to both slow your descent and travel faster.
Overview
The Glider remains a hotly debated EXO innovation. While newer Explorer Class Astroneers argue it should be added to their basic kit, Atrox Astroneers have long campaigned against its inclusion, claiming the Glider to be "cheating" and that getting reprinted due to a fatal fall "builds character."
On April 7th, 368 NCE, in low orbit above the planet of Ulyssii, an Astroneer by the name of Bilhelmina attempted to deploy to planet directly from her ship using only a Glider. Unsurprisingly, she was immediately sucked back into her own ship's thruster and vaporized. I mention this historical EXO Dynamics factoid in a humble effort to encourage you to succeed where Bold Bilhelmina failed.
