Overview
Carl is what some might call "a nice guy," but that is unlikely to get him very far in life—certainly not with me. However, his friends do seem to be rather fond of him. Maybe I should try being "a nice guy." That was a comical joke.
While Ensign Carl is apparently friends with everyone in the world, his best friend is Muriel, and they are attached at the hip. Not literally, of course—that would be a troubling ensign misprint that would require immediate sorting.
